Get Rid of Plastic Straws in NYC

Share this action:

The New York City Council is considering a bill that would get rid of single-use plastic straws and beverage stirrers in food service establishments in the city.

Straws typically can’t be recycled, so they often end up as pollution in our waters, where they can do harm to local marine life. This legislation would go a long way to addressing the problem.

Urge your council member to support this important bill.
