Tell Congress: No Cuts for Wildlife

Share this action:

The Administration’s budget proposal for the 2019 fiscal year includes cuts that would undo decades of work to protect elephants, tigers, gorillas, turtles, and countless other species.

The massive proposed cuts to international conservation funding could spell disaster for animals whose future hangs in the balance – wildlife populations that can and will recover if they are only given a chance.

These vital programs represent only a small fraction of 1 percent of the federal budget. But they are absolutely essential in the struggle to stop international illegal wildlife trafficking, to defend endangered species in the wild, and to protect the last remaining wild places on earth. We can’t let these cuts happen. Your representatives in Congress need to hear from you today.

Tigers, elephants, gorillas, turtles and countless other species don’t get to vote in elections. They can’t ask for the funds needed to ensure their future. They need you to speak for them.
