PROTECT PARROTS – NO EXCEPTIONS

African grey parrots are disappearing, trafficked nearly out of existence in some areas of West and Central Africa. All to fuel the illegal pet trade.

Last year, the CITES international trade treaty gave parrots the strongest possible protections from trade, but one country, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, has taken a so-called "reservation", exempting itself from the CITES provisions leaving parrots vulnerable.

The U.S. delegation will be at the next CITES meeting in just a few weeks. Use the form below to ask them to take a strong stance on protecting parrots – stop illegal trade!
