Pledge to Protect Endangered Species and their Habitats
The Endangered Species Act (ESA) is credited with rescuing species including the bald eagle and grizzly bear from the brink of extinction. Unfortunately, rules introduced in the last few years have weakened this cornerstone of conservation law, and making it harder to protect wildlife from multiple threats, including habitat loss and those posed by climate change.
We’re pushing back and hope you’ll pledge to do the same. We must not only return the ESA to its former strength, but also push to go even further in protecting endangered species.
WCS works globally to save wildlife and wild places. Using science and research, we’re able to understand what animals and their habitats need to survive and thrive and to inspire decision-makers and local communities to take action to defend them. We need to do the same here in the U.S.
Say you’ll stand with us on issues like protecting the Endangered Species Act and defending wildlife and the places they call home whenever the need arises and we’ll keep you informed of future opportunities to take action.
If you take action and have not already registered, you will receive periodic updates and communications from Wildlife Conservation Society.
